    theoperatingsystemisnolongeravailable.NMIisnotusedduringnormaloperationofthe
    server.GeneratinganNMIdoesnotgracefullyshutdowntheoperatingsystem,butcauses
    theoperatingsystemtocrash,resultinginlostserviceanddata.UsetheGenerateNMIto

    HPiLO,BLOnboardAdministrator,andSLChassisfirmwaretoreportanddisplaytherackIDand

    TheUpositionvaluedenotestheUpositionreadbythedevice.Thecontactpositionoffsetisa
    fixedvalueforeachmodelthatindicatesthepositionofthecontactrelativetothebottomUposition
    ofthedevice.Itisnormally0,butcanbeapositivevalueifthecontactcannotbeplacedatthe
    bottomUpositionofthedevice.Thebottom-mostUpositionoccupiedbythedeviceiscalculated
    bysubtractingtheUoffsetfromtheUposition.

    Connectingscriptedmediaforgroups
    1.NavigatetotheiLOFederation→GroupVirtualMediapage.
    2.SelectagroupfromtheSelectedGroupmenu.
    Allofthesystemsintheselectedgroupwillbeaffectedbythechangesyoumakeonthispage.
    3.EntertheURLforthescriptedmediaintheScriptedMediaURLboxintheConnectVirtual
    Floppysection(.imgfiles)orConnectCD/DVD-ROMsection(.isofiles).
    4.SelecttheBootonNextResetcheckboxiftheserversinthegroupshouldboottothisimage
    onlyonthenextserverreboot.
    Theimagewillbeejectedautomaticallyonthesecondserverrebootsothattheserversdo
    notboottothisimagetwice.
    Ifthischeckboxisnotselected,theimagewillremainconnecteduntilitisejectedmanually,
    andtheserverswillboottoitonallsubsequentserverresets,ifthesystembootoptionsare
    configuredaccordingly.
