    Retrieval
    Overview
With the PC2AUDIX sc hed uling op tion, you c an estab lish a sc hed ule for regularly
retrieving ap p rop riate system and sub sc rib er traffic d ata, error and alarm log
d ata, p erformanc e statistic s, and rep orted maintenanc e events (DEFINITY
AUDIX system only). You also c an sc hed ule sub sc rib er d atab ase verific ation.
Ad d itionally, if the op tional Call Detail Rec ord ing (CDR) p ac kag e is installed , you
c an sc hed ule CDR data retrieval for the AUDIX system. (The Call Detail
Recording pac kage is not available with the DEFINITY AUDIX system.)
You c an sc hed ule up to 100 events to oc c ur on an hourly, d aily, bi-weekly, weekly,
b i-monthly, or monthly b asis. Ad d itionally, for AUDIX networks, a sing le
PC2AUDIX sc hed ule c an ac c ommod ate d ata verific ation and retrieval from all
loc al and remote AUDIX systems in the network.
You initiate and c ontrol sc hed uling from the PC2AUDIX Root Menu using the
Sc hedule Ed itor (5). This op tion d isp lays a sc hed uling menu, whic h in turn
p rovid es op tions for entering, d isp laying , and ed iting events; p rovid ing retrieval
instruc tions for sp ec ific events; and d isp laying the event log of p ast sc hed uled
    ac tivities.
Onc e you have sc hed uled events, you must p lac e the PC in sc hed uling mode
(op tion 0 on the PC2AUDIX Root Menu) d uring the time that events are
sc hed uled to oc c ur. At the sc hed uled time, the PC c alls the voic e mail system to
initiate the sc hed uled ac tivity.

    nMac hine
The name of the work d irec tory you c reated for a partic ular voic e

    characters.
    nDay
The d ay for whic h to sc hed ule the event. Valid entries are as
    follows:
    — A three-c harac ter abb reviation for the d ay of the week (sun,
mon, tue, wed , thu, fri, sat, or all).
    — A one- or two-d ig it numb er (1 to 31) rep resenting the day of
the month to sc hedule the event.
    —hr.
This op tion is only valid for ac tivity typ es on the R1 AUDIX
    system (see Ta b l e 8 - 1
, Valid Ac tivity Typ es). When you enter
hr in the Day field, PC2AUDIX retrieves p erformanc e
statistic s every d ay on an hourly b asis from the b eg inning of
the sc heduled event until the designated stop collec tion
    hour.
Alternatively, if you enter a d ay or numb er in the Day field for
    p erformanc e statistic s, PC2AUDIX c ollec ts data just onc e
eac h time the event is sc hed uled . (In this c ase, the
d esig nated stop c ollec tion hour d efines the interval if
statistic s c annot b e c ollec ted at the sc hed uled time, and any
value in the Interval field is ig nored .)
    nTi m e
The time of d ay the transmission is sc hed uled to b eg in, sp ec ified
as hh:mm, where hh is the hour (00 to 23) and mm is the minute (00
    to 59).
    nInterval
The amount of time after the sc hed uled starting time in whic h the
transmission must b eg in, sp ec ified as hh:mm, where hh is the hour
(00 to 23) and mm is the minute (00 to 59).
If the transmission has not b eg un within this interval, the event is
skipp ed . For examp le, if an event is sc hed uled to b eg in at 02:00
and the interval is 05:00, the event is skip p ed if it has not started b y
07:00. If an interval of 00:00 is sp ec ified , only the standard numb er
of retries (three) to estab lish a c onnec tion are mad e.
