    It is possible to mod ify the c ollec tion date and  leave a g ap  where no d ata

    The d efault c ollec tion d ate is the last d aily sub sc rib er traffic  d ata rec ord  
    on the PC p lus one d ay, or seven d ays p revious to the c urrent d ay, 
    whichever is g reater. 
    3. If you wish, c hang e the d efault c ollec tion d ate. Otherwise PC2AUDIX 
    retrieves the d efault-sp ec ified  information. 
    4. Press   (CHANGE/RUN) to retrieve the d ata. 
    Local Subscriber Directory Verification
    Verifying  the loc al sub sc rib er d irec tory sync hronizes the PC2AUDIX d atab ase 
    with the voic e mail d atab ase for loc al sub sc rib ers. This verific ation p roc ed ure 
    changes the PC2AUDIX subscriber database to match the voice mail subscriber 
    database. 
    This op tion verifies that the loc al sub sc rib er d irec tory (user name, extension, 
    COS, and  misc ellaneous field) are c urrent b etween the PC2AUDIX interfac e and  
    the voic e mail system. All system d ata availab le from the DEFINITY AUDIX List 
    Sub sc rib ers  sc reen or from the AUDIX List : Sub sc rib er sc reen is transferred to 
    the PC. PC2AUDIX uses this information to generate the master list of 
    sub sc rib ers for all PC2AUDIX transac tions. 
    (You 
    must verify d ata b efore retrieving  sub sc rib er traffic  d ata initially using  
    PC2AUDIX or no sub sc riber d ata will be retrieved . After that, p erform verific ation 
    if you have ad d ed , c hang ed , or d eleted  loc al sub sc rib er rec ord s in the voic e mail 
    database. Otherwise those changes will not be updated in the retrieved data.)

    If you c hang e a sub sc rib er’s extension on the voic e mail system, 
    PC2AUDIX will treat this as a d elete of this sub sc rib er followed  b y 
    an add of a new subscriber.

    field sIf the Name, c os, or Misc  (org anization c od e) field s differ b etween 
    the voic e mail system and  PC2AUDIX, PC2AUDIX uses the new 
    value and  lists the names of loc al sub sc ribers with data field

    Verifying  the remote sub sc rib er d irec tory sync hronizes the PC2AUDIX datab ase 
    with the voic e mail d atab ase for all remote sub sc ribers. This verific ation c hang es 
    the PC2AUDIX sub sc rib er d atab ase to matc h the voic e mail d atab ase. 
    This op tion verifies that the remote sub sc rib er d irec tory (user name and  
    extension) are c urrent b etween PC2AUDIX and  the voic e mail system. All system 
    d ata availab le from the DEFINITY AUDIX List Remote-Extensions sc reen or the 
    AUDIX List : Extension sc reen is transferred to the PC. The PC2AUDIX interfac e 
    uses this information to g enerate the master list of all remote sub sc rib ers in the 
    network. 
    The time involved for this func tion c an b e leng thy, up  to one hour for 3000 
    sub sc rib ers if run while traffic  is lig ht on your system. 
    To verify the remote subscriber directory:
     
    1. At the AUDIX Data Retrieval menu, selec t  7) Verify Remote Sub sc rib er 
    Direc tory.

    Overview
    Using  voic e mail traffic  d ata that has b een retrieved  to the PC, PC2AUDIX c an 
    g enerate the following  traffic  rep orts: 
    nAverag e Port Usage Rep ort — Averag e numb er of ports in use for 
    sp ec ified  hours for eac h sp ec ified  d ay. 
    nPeak Port Usage Report — Maximum number of ports in use during the 
    hour for spec ified hours on eac h sp ec ified  d ay. 
    nHourly File System Usage Rep ort — Amount of free and used  filesystem 
    sp ac e (in b loc ks) for eac h hour in a sp ec ified  d ay. 
    nDaily File System Usag e Rep ort — Amount of free and  used  filesystem 
    sp ac e (in b loc ks) for eac h d ay in a sp ec ified  rang e of d ays. 
    nSession Usage Traffic Report — Number of voic e mail calls, voice mail 
    messag es, c all answer c alls, c all answer messages, and  the total c all time 
    (in sec ond s) for eac h day sp ec ified . This rep ort also shows the total 
    numb er of sub sc ribers on your system as of the last day in the rep orting  
    period. 
    nVoic e Mail Traffic  Data Rep orts — Retrieved  d ata in the format used  b y 
    eac h of the voic e mail traffic  forms. 
    nRemote Traffic  Rep ort — Amount of c onnec t time and the number of 
    messag es sent and  rec eived  for a p artic ular remote system for eac h d ay 
    in a sp ec ified  rang e of d ays.

    nDaily System Attend ant Traffic  Rep ort — Total c alls and total p rime and  
    non-p rime c alls for a main automated attend ant and  its sub attend ants for 
    a specified day. The report is generated using 
    live d ata in the voic e mail 
    database. 
    nMonthly System Attend ant Traffic  Rep ort — Total c alls and  total p rime and  
    non-p rime c alls for a main automated attend ant and  its sub attend ants for 
    a specified day. This report is generated using 
    live d ata in the voic e mail 
    database. 
    Prerequisites
    Exc ep t for the system attendant traffic  rep orts, whic h use live d ata in the voic e 
    mail datab ase, you must retrieve d ata from the system to the PC 
    before 
    producing reports described in this chapter. Refer to Chap ter 4, 
    PC 2 A U D I X 
    Data Retrieval, or Chap ter 8, Sc h e d u l in g  PC 2 A U D I X D a t a  Re t r ie va l, for 
    instruc tions on download ing  d ata from the voic e mail system to the PC.

    Stella Business Grap hic s p ac kag e installed  on your PC and  you have c onfig ured  
    PC2AUDIX Setup  Parameters to rec ognize this software. Refer to Chap ter 2, 
    Installation, for information ab out installing  a g rap hic s pac kag e and  to Chap ter 
    3, U si n g  PC 2 AU D I X Ap p li c a t io n  Pro g r a m s for information ab out c onfig uring  
    PC2AUDIX Setup  Parameters to rec ognize the g rap hic s software. 
    Producing Traffic Reports
    Perform the following  step s to prod uc e PC2AUDIX traffic  rep orts. 
    1. At the DOS prompt C> , enter cd
     
    machine_name to c hang e to the d irec tory 
    for the DEFINITY AUDIX system, or R1 AUDIX system for whic h you want 
    traffic  rep orts.
    2. Enter pc2audix
     to c all the software for PC2AUDIX. 
    3. At the PC2AUDIX Root Menu, selec t 2) Traffic  Rep orts. 
    The AUDIX Traffic Reports menu appears.

    4. Selec t the ap prop riate op tion for the traffic  rep ort you wish to p rod uc e. 
    Average Port Usage Report
    This rep ort d isp lays the averag e numb er of p orts in use for eac h hour in a 
    selec ted  rang e of hours d uring  a selec ted  rang e of d ates for a maximum of 
    seven d ays. You must 
    first retrieve Hourly System Traffic  Data, using  ADAP. 
    This rep ort shows you how your sub sc rib ers are using  the voic e mail system, and  
    when the load  is heavy or lig ht. It also shows you trends over time if you save 
    older c op ies of this rep ort. These trends mig ht ind ic ate that you need more p orts 
    to sup p ort your sub sc rib ers or that you c an ad d  more sub sc rib ers without 
    ad versely affec ting p erformanc e. (However, rememb er also to c onsid er whether 
    you have enoug h disk sp ac e for ad ditional sub sc rib ers.)
