							Paper Is Jammed inside MachineIf the jammed paper tears and you cannot remove the paper either from the paper output slot or from the
transport unit, or if the jammed paper remains inside the machine, remove the paper following the
instructions below.

Hold jammed paper firmly in both hands.
If the paper is rolled up, pull out it.

Slowly pull out paper, so as not to tear it.
Pull out the paper at an angle of about 45 degrees.
6.
Make sure all jammed paper is removed. If the paper tears when you pull out it, a bit of paper may remain in the machine. Check the following and
remove any remaining paper.

						

							Other CasesCheck the following:
Check1  Is anything blocking paper output slot?
Check2 Is paper curled?
Correct curl before loading paper.

							1003Cause
Machine is out of paper or paper does not feed.
What to DoClose the paper output tray, pull the cassette out, and then load the paper.
When you load the paper, insert the paper stack until the leading edge touches the far end of the
cassette.
After loading the paper, push the cassette so that the 
 mark on the cassette aligns with the  mark on
the machine.
Open the paper output tray and tap  OK on the touch screen of the machine.
Note

Operation panel is open.
What to Do Close the operation panel and wait for a while.
Do not close it while you are replacing an ink tank.

Paper output tray is closed.
What to Do Open the paper output tray and resume printing.

Size of paper may not be compatible with automatic duplex printing.
What to Do
The sizes of media suitable for auto duplex printing are A4 and Letter. Make sure paper of the correct size
is loaded. Tap  OK on the touch screen to eject the paper and restart printing from the front of the next
piece of paper. The reverse side of the ejected sheet is not printed.
