Release the lever by pressing it inwards. 
Then move it upwards or downwards to 
the desired position.
The lever has five positions which give mowing 
heights of between 35 and 75 mm.
2. BLADE ENGAGEMENT LEVER
Lever for engaging the drive for the mower deck. 
There are two positions:
1. Lever in the front position - the blade 
rotates.
2. Lever in the rear position - the blade do 
not rotate. Blade brake activated.

6a. Scoop:
Engage the parking brake.
6b. Scoop ES - Garden:
Depress the brake pedal fully. 
7a. Scoop (manual start):
Remove the engine cover. Grip the starter handle. 
Pull out the starter cord slowly until you feel some 
resistance. Release (slowly) to its original position. 
Now pull the starter cord quickly and decisively.

the petrol and engine oil must first be 
drained off. In addition, the battery 
must be removed from Garden models. 
CLEANING 
Rinse off the underside of the mower deck using a 
garden hose. 
NOTE! Do not aim the jet of water directly at the 
transmission or air filter. 
CHANGING ENGINE OIL
Change the oil for the first time after 5 hours run-
ning and then at every 50 hours running, or at least...

squeeze in the oil.
3. Lift out the paper filter N and thoroughly clean 
the air filter housing to prevent dirt from entering 
the carburettor.
4. Clean the paper filter as follows: Knock it light-
ly against a flat surface. If the filter is very dirty, 
change it.
5. Assemble in the reverse order.
Petroleum-based solvents such as kerosene must 
not be used for cleaning the paper filter as these 
can destroy the filter.
Do not use compressed air for cleaning the paper 
filter. The paper...

4. Loosen the spring U and remove the tension 
roller V (fig 25). 
5. Loosen the belt guide X and turn it to the side.
6. Pry-off the old belt over the gearbox pulley. 
Work from above the machine and use the hole in 
the bottom plate.
7. Pry off the belt from the engine pulley. Bend 
down the belt guide S and place the belt in the low-
er groove. Bend up the belt guide and remove the 
old belt.
8. Fit a new genuine v-belt in the reverse order.
