Open the Document Feeder Top Cover until it comes to a stop.
1.
Open the Left Cover until it comes to a stop.
2.
Clearing Paper Jams in Document Feeder
If the document is not caught in the document feeder, pull out the docum\
ent.
3.
Close the Top Cover until it clicks into place.
4.
If the document cannot be found, raise the Document Feeder slowly.
6.
Gently return the Document Feeder Tray to its original position.
7. Close the Left Cover until it clicks into place.

Open Tray 6 and remove any jammed paper.
1.
If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of paper inside the machine.\
2.
Clearing Paper Jams in the High Capacity Feeder
Gently close Tray 6.
3.
Gently move Tray 6 to the left until it stops.
4.
Open the Tray 6 Top Cover and remove any jammed paper.
5.
Close the Tray 6 Top Cover and gently move Tray 6 to its original positi\
on.

Open the tray where the paper jam occurred.
1.
Remove the visible jammed paper.
2.
Clearing Paper Jams in the Oversized High Capacity Feeder
If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of paper inside the machine.\
3.
Gently close the tray.

Open the Bottom Right Cover and tear off the Lead Edge from any jammed s\
heet. Also, clear any jammed 
sheets from the Bypass (Tray 5) feeder. Then, open the Front Cover.
1.
Turn Handle 2 to the right until it is in the horizontal position, then \
pull out the Transfer Module.
2.
Clearing Paper Jams in the Fuser
Remove the visible jammed paper.
3.
If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of paper inside the machine.\
4.
Move Handle 2a to the right and remove any jammed paper.
5.
Pull down Handle 2b and remove the jammed paper.
6.
Return Handle 2a and Handle 2b to their original position.
7.
Push in the the Transfer Module completely and turn Handle 2 to the left\
.
8.
Close the front cover.
9.
WARNING:
Never touch a labeled area (found on the Fuser or nearby) indicating “\
High Temperature” and “Caution”. You 
may get burned.

Open the cover and remove the jammed paper.

3. Note:
If the paper is torn, remove all torn pieces from the printer.
Remove and reload all paper in the tray.

If a finisher is installed, open the front door of the finisher and then\
 open the Bottom Right Cover by pressing 
the down arrow button.
1.
If the Output Catch Tray is installed, open the Bottom Right Cover while\
 pressing the down arrow button.
2.
Clearing Paper Jams in the Inverter
Pull the jammed sheet straight down towards floor.
3.
Close the Bottom Right Cover.
4.
If a finisher is installed, close the front door of the finisher.

Clearing Hole Punch Jams
Open the finisher front door.
1.
If jams occur in the Hole Punch area of the Finisher, remove the paper j\
am, then remove and empty the hole 
punch waste container.
2.
Insert the container all the way into the finisher.
3.
Close the finisher front door.

Troubleshooting Paper Jams
The printer is designed to function with minimal paper jams using Xerox \
supported media types only. Other media 
types may cause more frequent paper jams. If supported media is jamming \
frequently in one area, that area may 
need to be cleaned or repaired.
The Printer Pulls Multiple Sheets Together
Probable Causes Solutions
The paper tray is too full. Remove some of the paper. Do not load paper past fill line.
The front edges of the paper are not even. Remove the media, align the front edges, then reload it.
The media is moist from humidity. Remove the media from the tray, and replace it with new dry 
media.
Humidity is too high for coated paper. Feed paper one sheet at a time. Too much static electricity is present.  Try a new ream of paper.
Unsupported media. Use only Xerox-approved media. See  Supported Media.
