    							Your vehicle has the interf ace dial on
    the dashboard to operate the climate
    control system, audio system and
    navigation system. Most f unctions of
    these systems can also be controlled
    with the appropriate buttons, dials,
    and knobs on the dashboard, but
    some f unctions can be accessed or
    selected with the interf ace dial only.
    For more inf ormation, ref er to each
    system’s appropriate section.This dial consists of an upper part
    (selector) and a lower part (dial).
    Turn the dial lef t or right to select or
    scroll through a list or item(s) on the
    screen and adjust the level or
    condition. Push the selector to the
    lef t, right, up, and down to scroll
    through and select a list or item(s).
    The selected item will be highlighted
    on the screen. To confirm the item
    or enter the setting, push on the
    centre of the selector (ENTER).

    If your vehicle does not have air
    conditioning, it can be installed at
    any time. Your dealer can install a
    genuine Honda climate control
    system that meets Honda’s high
    quality standards and is designed to
    exactly f it your vehicle. Please
    contactyourdealerformore
    inf ormation. The engine must be running f or the
    heater to generate hot air. Proper use of the heating and airf low
    control system can make the interior
    comf ortable, and keep the windows
    clear f or the best visibility.
    The direction of airf low f rom the
    vents in the centre and each corner
    of the dashboard is adjustable.
    To adjust the airflow from each vent
    in the centre and passenger’s side,
    move the tab in the centre of each
    vent up-and-down and side-to-side. The driver’s side vent can be opened
    and closed with the upper and lower
    f laps. To open it, push in the f lap. To
    close the vent, pull out the f lap. To
    adjust the airflow from the vent,
    push in the flap to open it, then move
    the f lap up-and-down and rotate the
    vent.

    Turning the temperature control dial
    clockwise increases the temperature
    of the airf low.
    Select the f an speed by pressing the
    top or bottom of the fan speed
    control switch ( or ). The f an
    speed is shown in vertical bars on
    the display.
    These two buttons control the
    source of air going into the system.
    In f resh air mode , air comes
    f rom outside the vehicle. In
    recirculation mode , the
    interior air recycles through the

    							The outside air intakes f or the
    climate control system are at the
    base of the windscreen. Keep this
    area clear of leaves and other debris.
    Switch to recirculation mode when
    driving through dusty or smoky
    conditions, then return to fresh air
    mode. Thesystemshouldbeleftinfresh
    air mode under almost all conditions.
    Keeping the system in recirculation
    mode can cause the windows to f og
    up.Use the MODE button to select the
    vents the air flows from. Some air
    will f low f rom the dashboard corner
    vents in all modes.
    Each time you press the MODE
    button, the display shows the mode
    selected.This button directs the main airflow
    to the windscreen for faster
    def rosting. It also overrides any
    mode selection you may have made.
    When you select , the system
    automatically switches to fresh air
    mode. For f aster def rosting,
    manually set the f an speed to high.
    You can also increase airflow to the
    windscreen by closing the side vents
    on the dashboard.
    When you turn of f by
    pressing the button again, the
    system returns to its former settings.
    For your saf ety, make sure you have
    a clear view through all the windows
    bef ore driving. Airf low is divided between
    the floor and corner vents, and the
    demister vents at the base of the
    windscreen.

    							The heater uses engine coolant to
    warm the air. If the engine is cold, it
    will be several minutes bef ore you
    f eel warm air coming f rom the
    system.
    Press the AUTO on the
    temperature control dial.
    Adjust the warmth of the air with
    the temperature control dial.
    You will see AUTO and the
    selected temperature in the
    inf ormation display. The ventilation system draws in
    outside air, circulates it through the
    interior, then releases it through
    vents near the rear window. Whenyouturnontherearwindow
    demister, the heated door mirror is
    also turned on automatically. Set the temperature control dial to
    the lower limit.
    Select and fresh air mode.
    Set the f an to the desired speed. This button turns the rear window
    demister on and of f (see page ).
    The system automatically selects the
    proper combination of heated air and
    ventilation to maintain the selected
    temperature. The system also
    adjusts the fan speed and airflow

    							If you press OFF button, the heating
    and airflow control system shuts off
    completely.
    Keep the system completely of f
    f or short periods only.
    To keep stale air and mustiness
    f rom collecting, you should have
    the f an running at all times. Select .
    The system automatically
    switches to f resh air mode.
    Set the f an and temperature
    controls to maximum level. Select .
    To clear the windows f aster, you can
    close the dashboard corner vents. To
    close the driver’s side vent, pull out
    the f lip, and on the passenger’s side
    vent, rotate the wheel below it. This
    sends more warm air to the
    windscreen demister vents. Once the
    windscreen is clear, select the f resh
    air mode to avoid fogging the
    windows.
    For your saf ety, make sure you have
    a clear view through all the windows
    bef ore driving. To remove f og f rom the inside of the
    windows:
    Set the f an to the desired speed or
    high f or f aster def rosting.
    Select and fresh air mode.
    When you select , the
    system automatically switches to
    f resh air mode.
    Adjust the temperature control
    dial so the airflow feels warm.
    Select to help clear the
    rear window.
    To increase airf low to the
    windscreen, close the corner vents.1.

    The automatic climate control
    system in your vehicle picks the
    proper combination of air
    conditioning, heating, and ventilation
    to maintain the interior temperature
    you select. The system also adjusts
    the fan speed and airflow levels.To activate the climate control
    system, the engine must be running.
    The direction of airf low f rom the
    vents in the centre and each corner
    of the dashboard is adjustable.
    The driver’s side vent can be opened
    and closed with the upper and lower
    f laps. To open it, push in the f lap. To
    close the vent, pull out the f lap. To
    adjust the airflow from the vent,
    push in the flap to open it, then move
    the f lap up-and-down and rotate the
    vent. You can adjust the temperatures of
    thedriver’ssideandthepassenger’s
    side independently (see page ).
    In the AUTO mode, the vehicle’s
    interior temperature is
    independently regulated f or the
    driver and passenger.217

    operated using the voice control
    system. See the navigation system
