    							If you select ‘‘ALL’’ on either the
    artists or albums list, all available
    f iles on the selected list are played.
    You can also select a file from any of
    the iPod menus: playlists, artists,
    albums and songs, by using the
    interf ace dial. Press the AUDIO
    button to display the audio display on
    the navigation screen. Push up the
    selector on the interf ace dial to
    display the iPod menu. Turn the
    interf ace dial to select a desired list.Press ENT on the interf ace dial to
    display the items on that list, then
    turn the interface dial to select a
    desired list. Pushing the selector on
    the interf ace dial up or down moves
    a selection to the top or bottom of
    the screen items. Press ENT on the
    interf ace dial to set your selection.PresstheAUDIObuttontogoback
    to the normal audio playing display.
    Pressing the CANCEL button goes
    back to the previous screen, and
    pressing the MAP button cancels the
    audio display on the screen.

    You can select any type of repeat and
    random modes on the audio menu.
    Press the AUDIO button to display
    the audio display, then push down
    the selector on the interface dial to
    display the audio menu. Turn the
    interf ace dial to select an audio
    mode: repeat, album random, and
    track random. Press ENT on the
    interf ace dial to set your selection.To cancel the selected mode, press
    ENT on the interf ace dial again while
    the highlighted mode is selected on
    the audio display.
    This feature
    continuously plays a f ile.
    To turn it of f , press ENT on the
    interf ace dial again.You can also select the repeat
    f eature with the RPT button on the
    control panel. Press and release the
    RPT button. Press the RPT button
    again to turn it off.
    Pressing either side of the SKIP bar
    changes the f ile while keeping the
    repeat feature.
    This feature
    plays all available f iles f rom the
    selected items in the iPod menu list

    in random order. You will see
    TRACK RANDOM on the screen.
    To turn it off, have this mode
    highlighted and press ENT on the
    interf ace dial again.

    Disconnect the dock connector of
    the iPod f rom the USB adapter cable.
    Make sure to f ollow the maker’s
    instructions to disconnect it. This feature
    plays all available albums f rom the
    selected items in the iPod menu list
    (playlists, artists, albums or songs)
    in random order. The f iles in each
    album are played in the recorded
    order. You will see ALBUM
    RANDOM on the screen.To turn it off, have this mode
    highlighted and press ENT on the
    interf ace dial again.
    You can also select another list from
    theiPodmenuwhilekeepingthe
    random f unction.
    Available operating f unctions vary on
    models or versions. Some f unctions
    may not be available on the vehicle’s
    audio system.To play the radio, press the AM/FM
    button. Press the CD/AUX button to
    switch to the disc mode (if a disc is
    loaded). Press the CD/AUX button
    again to switch back to the USB
    mode.
    If you reconnect the same iPod, the
    audio unit may begin playing where
    it lef t of f , depending on the iPod
    specif ication.

    							If you see an error message in the
    side display while playing an iPod,
    findthesolutioninthecharttothe
    right. If you cannot clear the error
    message, take your vehicle to your
    dealer.Solution Error

    There is a problem with the USB adapter unit.
    Appears when the overcurrent protection
    feature of the system stops supplying power to
    USB because an incompatible device is
    connected. Disconnect the device. Then, turn
    the audio system off, and turn it on again. Do
    not reconnect the device that caused the error.
    Appears when the iPod is empty. Store some
    f iles in the iPod.
    Appears when an unsupported iPod is
    connected. See page 292 for the specification
    information for iPods. If it appears when a
    supported iPod is connected, update the iPod
    firmware to the newer version.
    Appears when the system does not

    The recommended USB f lash
    memory devices are:
    The recommended USB f lash
    memory devices are 256 MB or
    higher. Some digital audio players
    maybecompatibleaswell.Do not keep a USB f lash memory
    device in the vehicle. Direct
    sunlight and high heat will damage
    it.
    We recommend backing up your
    data bef ore playing it.
    Depending on the type and
    number of f iles, it may take some
    time bef ore they begin to play.
    Depending on the sof tware the
    f iles were made with, it may not be
    possible to play some f iles, or
    displaysometextdata.
    You can select the AUX mode by
    using the navigation system voice
    control buttons, but cannot operate
    theplaymodefunctions. This audio system can operate the
    sound contents f rom a USB f lash
    memory device with the same
    controls used f or the in-dash disc
    player. To play a USB f lash memory
    device, press the CD/AUX button.
    The ignition switch must be in the
    ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position.
    The audio system reads and plays
    the audio f iles on the USB f lash
    memory device in MP3, WMA or
    AAC f ormats. Depending on the
    f ormat, the display shows MP3,
    WMA or AAC when a USB flash
    memory device is playing. The USB
    f lash memory device limit is up to
    700 f olders or up to 65535 f iles.
    Only AAC f ormat f iles recorded
    with iTunes are playable on this
    audio unit.Some USB f lash memory devices
    (such as devices with security lock-
    out f eatures, etc.) will not work in
    this audio unit. For more inf ormation,
    consult your dealer.
    Do not use an extension cable to
    the USB adapter cable equipped
    with your vehicle. Do not connect your USB f lash
    memory device using a hub. Do not use a device such as a card
    reader or hard drive as the device
    or your f iles may be damaged.

    							µ Use the SKIP bar while a USB f lash
    memory device is playing to select
    passages and change f iles.
    Each time you press and
    release the side of the SKIP bar,
    the system skips forward to the
    beginning of the next f ile. Press and
    release the side of the bar, to
    skip backward to the beginning of
    the current f ile. Press it again to skip
    to the beginning of the previous file.
    To move rapidly within a f ile, press
    andholdeitherside( or )
    of the SKIP bar. Connect the USB f lash memory
    device to the USB adapter cable
    correctly and securely.
    When the USB device is connected
    andtheUSBmodeisselectedonthe
    audio system, ‘‘USB’’ is shown in the
    side display. It also shows the f older
    and f ile numbers. Pressing the
    AUDIO button displays the USB icon,
    the f older and f ile names, and the
    elapsed time in the navigation screen.You can disconnect the USB f lash
    memory device at any time even if
    the USB mode is selected on the
    audio system. Make sure to f ollow
    the USB f lash memory device’s
    instructions when you remove it.
    When you disconnect the USB f lash
    memory device while it is playing,
    the side display and the audio display
    show NO DATA.

    You can also change files with the
    interf ace dial. Press the AUDIO

    to the beginning of the next f ile, and
    totheleftsidetoskiptothe

    Pushing it to the lef t again skips to
    the beginning of the previous f ile.To
    select a different folder, press and

    bar. Press the side to skip to
    the next f older, and press the
    side to skip to the beginning to
