    To register another recipient's number and name, select an unregistered ID number and operatein the same procedure.

    You can check the recipient's numbers and names you have registered by printing RECIPIENTTELEPHONE NUMBER LIST.

    							Registering Recipients in Group DialIf you register two or more registered recipients to a group dial, you can send the same document
    successively to all recipients registered to the group dial.1.
    Make sure that the machine is turned on.
    2.
    Flick the HOME screen, then tap   FAX .
    Using the Operation Panel
    The Fax standby screen is displayed.
    3.
    Tap  Function list .
    The  Function list  screen is displayed.
    4.
    Tap TEL number registration .
    5.
    Tap Directory registration .
    The screen to select an ID number is displayed.
    Note
    •
    If you already registered the recipients, the recipients' name is displayed next to the ID number. If
    you already registered the group dial, the 
     icon and the group name are displayed next to the
    ID number.
    6.
    Select an unregistered ID number.
    7.
    Tap  Group dial registration .
    The screen to register the group name and the member of the group is displayed.

    Enter the group name.
    1.
    Tap the entry field of group name.
    The screen to enter the character is displayed.
    2.
    Enter the group name.
    3.
    Tap  OK.

    •
    You can enter the name up to 16 characters, including spaces.

    Register the members.
    1.
    Tap  Add member .
    The machine's directory is displayed.
    Display by nameDisplay by ID numberA.
    Tap to switch the display by name and by ID number.

    							B.Tap to display the screen to select an initial. You can search the registered recipient by initial.
    By selecting the initial, the registered recipients are displayed in alphabetical order from theselected character.
    C.
    Tap to display the screen to select an ID number of the registered recipient. You can searchthe registered recipient by ID number.
    By enter the ID number and tapping  OK, the registered recipients are displayed in order from
    the recipient of the ID number selected.
    D.
    The recipients that can be registered are displayed.

    Tap a recipient to register as group member.
    The member to register is displayed on the list.
    Note
    •
    To delete the recipient from the group dial, tap a recipient that you want to delete from the list.After the confirmation screen is displayed, tap  Yes to delete the recipient from the group dial.
    3.
    To add another member, tap  Add member again.
    The machine's directory is displayed.
    4.
    Tap a recipient to register as group member. The member to register is displayed on the list.

    							Repeat the procedure to register another member to the same group dial.
    10.
    Tap Complete  to finalize registration.

    To register another group, select an unregistered ID number and operate in the same procedure.

    You can check the recipients you have registered to the group dial by printing GROUP DIAL
    TELEPHONE NO. LIST.

    							Changing Registered InformationTo change information registered for recipient and group dial, follow the procedure below.1.
    Make sure that the machine is turned on.
    2.
    Flick the HOME screen, then tap   FAX .

    Tap  Function list .
    The  Function list  screen is displayed.
    4.
    Tap TEL number registration .
    5.
    Tap Directory registration .
    6.
    Tap a recipient or a group dial to change.
    7.
    Change the registered information.
    •
    To change an individual recipient:
    1.
    Tap Edit recipient .
    The registered information screen of the selected recipient is displayed.
    2.
    Tap the entry field of name or the entry field of fax/telephone numbers. The each edit screen is displayed.
    3.
    Change the name or the fax/telephone numbers.
    4.
    Tap  OK.
    The touch screen returns to the registered information screen.
    5.
    Tap  Register .

    To change a group dial:
    1.
    Tap Edit group dial .
    The registered information screen of the group dial is displayed.
    2.
    To change the group name, tap the entry field of name.
    When edit screen of group name is displayed, change the group name then tap  OK.
    3.
    To add the member, tap  Add member.
    When the machine's directory is displayed, tap the recipient you want to add.
    4.
    To delete the member, tap the recipient on the list.
    When the confirmation screen is displayed, tap  Yes to delete the recipient from the group dial.
    5.
    Tap  Complete  to finalize changing.

    							Printing a List of the Registered DestinationsYou can print a list of the fax/telephone numbers and can keep it near the machine to refer to when dialing.1.
    Make sure that the machine is turned on.
    2.
    Load paper.
    3.
    Flick the HOME screen, then tap   FAX .
    Using the Operation Panel
    The Fax standby screen is displayed.

    Tap  Function list .
    The  Function list  screen is displayed.
    5.
    Tap Print reports/lists .
    6.
    Tap Directory list .
    7.
    Tap an item to print.

    If you selected Recipient:
    The confirmation screen to select whether to print the list in alphabetical order of the registered names is displayed.
    If you tap  Yes: Prints RECIPIENT TELEPHONE NUMBER LIST with the destination names in
    alphabetical order.
    If you tap  No: Prints RECIPIENT TELEPHONE NUMBER LIST in the order of the ID number.
    •
    If you selected  Group dial:
    The printing confirmation screen is displayed. Tap  Yes to print GROUP DIAL TELEPHONE NO.

    							Registering Recipients Using Speed Dial UtilityAbout Speed Dial UtilitySpeed Dial Utility is a utility for forwarding the fax/telephone numbers registered on the machine to a
    computer and registering/changing them on the computer. In addition, you can register the fax/telephone
    number, user's name, user's fax/telephone number, and rejected numbers edited on the computer to the
    machine. You can also save them on the computer as a backup.
    For safety reasons, it is recommended that you backup the registered data on the computer using Speed
    Dial Utility.

    							Starting Up Speed Dial UtilityBefore starting up Speed Dial Utility, confirm the following:•
    The necessary application software (MP Drivers and Speed Dial Utility) is installed.
    If MP Drivers or Speed Dial Utility is not yet installed, install them with the Setup CD-ROM or install them from our website.
    •
    The machine is connected to a computer correctly.
    Make sure that the machine is connected to the computer correctly.
    Do not plug in or unplug any cables while the machine is in operation, or when the computer is in sleep or standby mode.
    If your machine is compatible with LAN connection, make sure that the machine is connected to the
    computer with LAN connection to use Speed Dial Utility via LAN connection.
    Follow the procedure below to start up Speed Dial Utility.
    1.
    Make sure that the machine is turned on.
    2.
    Start up Speed Dial Utility.
    •
    In Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, select  Speed Dial Utility on the Start screen to start Speed Dial
    Utility. If  Speed Dial Utility  is not displayed on the  Start screen, select the  Search charm, then
    search for "Speed Dial Utility".
    •
    In Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP, click  Start and select  All programs , Canon
    Utilities , Speed Dial Utility , and then Speed Dial Utility .

    •
    You can also start up Speed Dial Utility from Quick Menu or Quick Toolbox.
