    INSTRUMENTS TO BE ASSIGNED MESSAGE
    WAITING FEATURE WITH CMC-204. (REFER TO
    PACKAGE B, DATA BASE ADMINISTRATION
    SECTION).

    Installation1.POWER SYSTEM OFF.
    2.ENSURE THAT PROPER ELECTROSTATIC GROUNDING PROCEDURES ARE FOLLOWED PRIOR TO
    HANDLING PCB CARDS.
    3.BEGIN REPLACING AND INSTALLING THE DESIGNATED PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS IN CARD
    SLOTS IDENTIFIED BELOW (IF NOT PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED IN MODULE I). ENSURE THAT CARD
    COMPONENTS ARE ON LEFT SIDE OF THE BOARDS.
    (A)INSERT AND SEAT AN INTERFACE CARD FOR CSD/DTA INSTRUMENTS (8DTC) IN CARD
    SLOT 00.
    (B)REPLACE THE CPMA CARD IN SLOT 20 WITH THE ENHANCED CONTROL PROCESSOR
    MEMORY CARD (CPMB).
    (C)REPLACE THE 
    MEMA CARD IN SLOT 21 WITH THE ENHANCED MEMORY CARD (MEMB).
    4.REMOVE THE RING GENERATOR (RGEN). CUT STRAP OR SLIDE SWITCH ON CARD TO ACTIVATE
    MESSAGE WAITING FOR SLT INSTRUMENTS. INSERT AND SEAT RGEN WITH CARD COMPONENTS
    ON RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOARD.
    5.INSTALL DATA TERMINAL ADAPTERS IN TWO CSD TELEPHONES.
    6.WIRE CROSS CONNECTIONS AND INSTALL CSD TELEPHONES USING THESE DESIGNATED
    CONFIGURATIONS (IF NOT PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED IN MODULE I).
    (A)CSD TELEPHONE USING 8DTC CARD IN SLOT 00, CIRCUIT 0. DEFAULT DIRECTORY NUMBER
    WILL BE 200 (VOICE).
    (B)CSD TELEPHONE USING 8DTC CARD IN SLOT 00, CIRCUIT 1. DEFAULT DIRECTORY NUMBER
    WILL BE 201 (VOICE).
    7.LABEL EACH INSTRUMENT WITH THE APPROPRIATE STATION DIRECTORY NUMBER AND
    EQUIPMENT NUMBER (CARD SLOT AND CIRCUIT NUMBER).
    6.INSTALL DATA TERMINAL STATIONS TO BOTH CSD TELEPHONES.
