DEFINITY ECS Release 8.2 Administrator’s Guide 555-233-506 Issue 1.1 June 2000 Features and technical reference 1517 Telephone Displays 20 nDCS All switches in a DCS network must have must have the same software load installed on each server, must have the enhanced characters enabled, and must have phones with the same firmware type. nECMA and QSIG Networking Information must be sent between DEFINITY ECS systems. nLeave Word Calling - Adjunct Not supported. nMessage Retrieval - Print Messages (Demand Print) Not supported. nMonitor 1 and OneVision Monitor 1 and OneVision receive ASCII characters. nOSSI OSSI displays the literal value of the display field, not the enhanced characters. nPassageway Direct Connect Not supported. nVUStats Use phones that support enhanced characters or screens may clear and displays will be incorrect. Feature information displays Phone displays provide information about the activity on individual phones and consoles, including confirmation that a certain feature is being used. The language used for messages is administered on the station screen for each phone. This section shows the English, French, Italian, and Spanish message for each feature. When time is displayed, the English language uses AM and PM. All other languages use 24-hour time.
